In our Teina, 1:4 for infants and toddlers and 1:8 for our preschool children in Tuakana. 

  Our Under 2s space is calm, nurturing, and full of opportunities for exploration. With a focus on respectful care, we build strong, trusting relationships that support each child’s individual pace of learning.

From soft spaces to inviting play materials, every moment is thoughtfully planned to inspire curiosity, connection, and growth.

  In our Tuakana Room, tamariki over 2 are supported to grow their independence, confidence, and friendships in a nurturing and fun environment. This space is designed to inspire curiosity and learning through play.

We value the special role of tuakana-teina — where older children learn to care for and guide their younger peers, building leadership and empathy along the way.

Our mixed age outdoor space benefits all age groups. Younger children have opportunities to be extended and challenge themselves, learning new ways to play and think. Older children have opportunities to share their expertise, learn empathy, role model and develop leadership skills. 

Children learn through play. Our environments and teaching strategies are designed to scaffold children's play - providing them with opportunities to explore, discover, experiment, play and create while developing life long dispositional and practical skills, social learning, emotional literacy and knowledge. 

The health and safety of our children is our number one priority. We have robust systems and knowledgeable teachers to manage risk, hazards, emergencies whilst providing safe an environment where children are able to risk-take and problem solve with  support and guidance.
